about

Constructed from tape loops, manipulated guitar, and field recordings, Tears carries a heavy drone which oscillates wildly in shape, timbre, and mood while still emphasizing some heavy silences. Edition of 100 Pro CS, released by Acid Casualty Productions in 2011

Review from the WIRE magazine by Byron Coley:
Good new one by this solo project of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida's Richard Vergez. Tears was reportedly inspired by Man Ray, Federico Garciá Lorca and Ana Mendieta. There's nothing too overt about this, and its suite of sounds – from gentle guitar to staggering tape loops to bursts of noise – is abstract (and strong) enough to carry anything you want to toss onto it.
